2011 Rugby World Cup Associates Store

This year is the 2011 Rugby World Cup which is set to be held in New Zealand. The tournament is the biggest in the rugby calendar and becomes bigger every year, as does the rivalry between competing nations. With every passing tournament the desire to get hold of the rugby jerseys being worn by the competing nations gets even greater and this year it looks set to be a record breaking year for the sales of Shirts.

By many rugby is seen as the second most popular sport in most countries, with it being second to football, however in many, especially southern hemisphere rugby nations, rugby is certainly the number one sport in the country so it is unsurprising that the jerseys for those nations sell very well. This isn't to say that the European rugby countries don't take their rugby seriously, they very much do and they are very keen to have another European nations win the tournament that is very much dominated by the southern hemisphere.

Many of the countries taking part have already released their 2011 World Cup rugby shirts with many of them expected to sell very well. There are 20 countries taking part in the Rugby World Cup first round and it is safe to say that the fans making the trip to South Africa for the tournament will be wearing the rugby jerseys to represent their countries.

Kooga, Adidas, Nike and Canterbury are the major brands when it comes to rugby shirts and they will have a prominent position at the tournament. With such competition between brands to produce the rugby jerseys for the top rugby nations we expect to see some fantastic designs on the World Cup rugby jerseys and higher sales than has been seen before. The sales of rugby kits and shirts world wide have increased considerably in recent years and the 2011 Rugby World Cup is expected to break all previous sales levels when it comes to rugby jerseys.
